CCFC vs San Leandro FC

This past Saturday night your Contra Costa FC defeated San Leandro FC by a score of 4-1 to improve their league record to a perfect 3-0 in the UPSL. The match was a tail of two-halves. The first half was a slow feel out process as both teams tried to impose their will on one another. It was until the 45' minute of the first half that Steven Henry put in a free kick sending CCFC up at halftime 1-0. Following a spirited halftime speech by Coach Derricke Brown CCFC came out firing on all cylinders. 3 goals were put in within 15 minutes of play. CCFC never looked back as the final scoreline read 4-1 in Contra Costa's favor.
The next match for CCFC is at home on April 6th against Real San Jose.

CCFC takes down Chico City, 5-0

Your Contra Costa FC took on the Chico City Rangers in their home UPSL debut winning 5-0. CCFC looked strong as they came out working possession and had opportunities early on but couldn't find the net. It was a goal off the head of Jonathan "Tata" Ayala mid-way through the first half that opened up. CCFC went in to the half up 2-0 and came out from the half firing on all cylinders scoring 3 more.


CCFC Enters the UPSL Strong…

In the opening match of the 2019 season your Contra Costa FC took on the San Francisco Hearts toppling them 4-0. CCFC came out swinging right out the gates with an intensity that can only come from anticipation, as they have been waiting patiently for their debut. "The team clicked, we played well and strung some really nice combinations together," said Captain Brandon Kearny. CCFC lead the Hearts at half with a 2-0 margin but didn't settle. "We seemed to play well and keep our shape during most of the match. These guys haven't played together much lately so there is a lot we need to work on," said the Director of Player Development Jon Scoles. Goals were put in by Luis "Angel" Navarro, Brandon "BK" Kearny, Eruvey "Jr" Arecta and finally Ben Reiter.

Club Day

Contra Costa FC held their first Club Day of 2019 this past Saturday, March 2nd. The UPSL Premier roster was split down the middle as a few top Reserve players were called up to join in. Team Crimson took it to Team Gold by a score of 4-1 winning the Functional Soccer Academy Champions League Shirts presented by FitProUSA.
The scoreline was second to the fun and activities that took place before, during and following the match. Functional Soccer Academy's 4v4 Youth 05/06 Boys Championship Teams battled out in a rematch at halftime. Local youth soccer players walked out with the CCFC players for our introduction. Pancoast Pizza of Walnut Creek served some delicious pie as our official CCFC Fan Gear Store was introduced on behalf of Spoken Cloth, our exclusive screen printer.

72nd Minute

Another match in the books for your Contra Costa FC as they took a 1-0 victory over Elk Grove Everton FC in Liga NorCal. For the second match in a row rain and wind drastically altered the outcome of the match, as well as dictated the pace of play. CCFC held possession for the majority of the match as opportunity after opportunity seemed to slip by. It wasn't until the 72nd minute that Max Mirner finally found the back of the net as a ball was slotted across the face of the goal. The Elk Grove keeper made a valiant effort but the ball slipped by to put CCFC up 1-0. CCFC never looked back as they maintained possession and continued to earn opportunities on goal.
